The victim said the assault was a result of a road rage altercation.

About Incident
Shortly after 7 PM on Friday, police responded to the 1000 block of Chalkstone Avenue for a report of a man being struck by a machete.
The victim - a male in his 30s - told police he had gotten into a road rage incident before parking on Berlin Street.
When he exited his vehicle, the victim said he was then approached by a man who struck him with a machete.
The victim refused medical treatment; police are currently investigating video footage in the area.
