About Incident

Police responded to Nara Lounge on Atwells Avenue shortly before 1:30 AM Friday morning for a report of a person with a gun.

Officers met with the victim who identified himself as the owner of Nara, and said a man had just pointed a gun at him.

The owner reportedly told police that a man came into Nara claiming that items had been stolen from a vehicle he had valeted.

According to police, the owner said he told the man to contact police, at which time the man became belligerent, threatened to fight him, and returned to his vehicle and retrieved a gun.

The owner told police the man then pointed the firearm at him.

Police searched the vehicle matching the description provided by the owner and placed the driver in handcuffs; they reported locating a firearm in the vehicle.
