Caprio Leads in Channel 10 Poll
Tuesday, September 21, 2010
Democrat Frank Caprio leads independent Lincoln Chafee by 12 points in the race for governor, according to a poll released today by Channel 10 and Quest Research—just one day after a Rasmussen Reports poll showed Caprio was three points behind.
Caprio had 36 percent support compared to Chafee’s 24 percent, leaving Republican John Robitaille with 13 percent and Moderate Party candidate Ken Block with 2 percent. One quarter of those surveyed were undecided.
The poll was conducted right after the primary, from September 15 to 17. It is based on a survey of 495 registered voters and had a 4.7 percent margin of error.
