Beacon Charter to Honor John Chan for Contributions to the Arts
Wednesday, October 15, 2014
Beacon Charter High School for the Arts will host its second annual Gala and Silent Auction on November 1.
The event will kick off at 6:30pm at the St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center, 80 Cumberland Street in Woonsocket with a silent auction.
The auction will include student and professional artwork, autographed memorabilia (including animation art signed by Stan Lee and a hand-‐drawn Snoopy signed by Charles Shulz), and themed gift baskets.
On display will be a brand new Harley-‐Davidson motorcycle, which will be raffled off at the conclusion of the evening. Only 100 motorcycle tickets will be sold at $100 each. If less than 85 tickets are sold, the raffle will be a 50/50 split.
Beacon will honor John Chan and the owners of Ciro’s Tavern.
Entertainment for the evening will feature musical performances by Beacon student artists, a number from our upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors, and our acclaimed living statues. All food will be prepared and served by Beacon Culinary student artists.
Tickets for the event are only $25 and are currently on sale at the school or by visiting here.
