Man Injured in Providence Friday Morning in Incident Involving Gun
The near-endless violence in Providence continued on Friday. A man was injured at about 10:30 am on Elmwood Avenue.
The incident started as a dispute between a customer and an employee of City Gas & Food Mart located at 253 Elwood Avenue, according to Providence Police.
A third individual then got involved in the fight.

The severity of the injury is not known.
"One person was injured from a fall to the ground," Providence Police Detective Major David Lapatin confirmed with GoLocal.
Two suspects are now in custody.
Latest Violence in City
This is the third violent episode in Providence in less than 24 hours.
From Sunday to Thursday, Providence young people have been repeatedly the victims of gun violence.
On Sunday, an 18-year-old was shot in his own driveway on his birthday.
On Thursday, a 20-year-old was shot.
And less than four hours later, a seven-year-old girl was shot and is in critical condition at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
