Sweet Indulgence's Smith Talks Cakes & Creations on LIVE

GoLocalProv’s Laura Afonso speaks with Sweet Indulgence owner Kerri Smith about the popular Pawtuxet Village bakery. Smith has been serving her infamous cakes and creations for the past 11 years, and continues to grow.

“We started as a small chocolate shop doing items like chocolate covered pretzels. Now we serve cakes, cupcakes, French Macarons and more," said Smith. 

Along with her, she brought her favorite specialty cake, topped with a dozen mini cannolis.

In addition to cakes, cannolis, and macaroons, Smith also serves a full breakfast menu complete with sugary waffles, croissants, and french toasts as well as cafe items like cappuccino, espresso and even frozen hot chocolate. In the evening, the pink Parisian style cafe turns into a dinner setting with full menu sporting entrees like baked stuffed shrimp and chicken parm. Smith brings in live music for dinner service on Friday nights.

“The weekend comes and the pink cafe dims the lights and puts linens on the tables for a full dinner service." 

Smith’s quality confections are currently being served at Gillette Stadium, as she makes cookies for the opposing football teams at Patriots games, as well as orders for music events and concerts.

“We made red glitter guitars for Taylor Swift and cupcakes for Britney Spears," said Smith. 

Custom orders may also be made for small orders like birthday cakes, or large events such as weddings and all sizes in between.
