Fit for Life: Your Decisions Will Dictate the Outcome
Saturday, November 12, 2022
Your decisions will define you.
It's the decisions followed by the actions we take that dictate who we are and what we can be.
As you think back at the previous year, think about some of the things you have done or have been doing and decide what needs to change, improve, be eliminated, or get started doing.

When you talk about health, I believe 90% of the population could be fit & healthy if they acted on their decisions, and took the proper course of action to be successful.
Most of what ails us, comes from the decisions we make.
Mostly the bad decisions.
I understand motivation and discipline play a huge role in your success, but the decision to act, is the first step. We all have choices, and the information is out there, so if you decide you want to be more fit and healthier, then make it a priority and do it.
Every day we are faced with choices to make. We wake up in the morning and we have to decide what we will do from that point on.
Nobody has a gun to your head to make you get up and go to work, that’s a decision you can make for yourself.
You have to decide to go make money and pay for things, or decide not to and maybe become broke, bankrupt or homeless.
Next, you have to decide if you are going to eat a healthy breakfast or not. If you do, you will have more energy, feel better, stoke your metabolism and be more productive at whatever it is you are doing.
If you decide not to, or eat some garbage from a drive-thru or convenience store you are setting yourself up for problems like being tired, moody getting sick or a headache, and being less productive.
When you get into your vehicle, you are faced with more decisions. Should you fasten your seatbelt, or play Russian roulette? Should you speed and drive recklessly or obey the law? The choice is, once again, yours.
When lunchtime arrives, did you decide that bringing a healthy lunch was a good idea, or are you going out for a saturated fat-laden artery-clogging lunch?
Again, if you made the decision to follow the path to good health, this would be a priority the night before.
Ok, so now the work day ends and you have two choices, head home and hit the couch, or head to the gym?
The decision is yours.
So what I am saying is that we are faced with decisions every day.
Some easy, some difficult.
We can either make the wise one or come up with excuses.
You could live a life of vitality, high energy, a strong immune system, pain-free movements, or you could spend your life fat, sick, on medication for every ailment, and visiting doctors and hospitals.
It is up to you to decide, commit, and do.
I did a live Facebook video yesterday and said that you can’t fail if you don’t quit on yourself. Quitting is a decision, and failure is the outcome of making a bad decision.
When we act irrationally, we usually make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings.
Right now, we are living with a lot of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty, and I am seeing a lot of people giving up on themselves.
This is a temporary situation, and if you decide to let your health suffer based on where you are today, you will be paying the consequences long after the smoke clears.
This is a time when the 3 C’s come into play, and by following this simple formula, your mindset will change, and hopefully help you make some good decisions with your life.
Control what you can, like your health and fitness.
Cope with what you can’t control. The election, government shutdowns, mask mandates, etc.
Concentrate on what matters most to you.
Your health should be first, your family second, then your finances.
When you decide NOT to let obstacles in life derail you physically, mentally, and emotionally, you will come out of the other side of adversity stronger and more resilient than ever before, AND your health won’t suffer.
Committed to your success,
Matt
