Fit for Life: Remember the Show “Cheers”?

I wrote an article a few years ago about this, and the idea resurfaced last week when a member walked in, and every staff member (un rehearsed) yelled out her name at the same time.

She perked up and said, “I love coming here, everyone is always so excited to see me when I come in.” Then I told her we are the “Cheers” of the gym industry and are always happy to see all of our members when they come in.

The reason for this is that over the past eight years, we have built a culture and community like no other gym you will ever step foot in.

We consider ourselves a “coaching and accountability” program as opposed to “just a gym.”

When you belong to a “gym,” you basically get access to equipment, and need to figure it out on your own.

 

Even if you belong to a smaller boutique-style gym that has structured workouts, you probably get a great workout and it ends there.

You don’t get the nutrition/mindset coaching, the follow-up or accountability that goes with our programs.

In addition, we run regular community-building events, give away cash and prizes for your accomplishments & stay in touch with our members on a regular basis.

 

Heck, we work harder off the workout floor than we do during the actual workouts.

That is why we consider ourselves a step above other gyms and compare ourselves to Cheers.

Here are a few verses from the intro to Cheers, and how it pertains to Providence Fit Body Boot Camp. (Sing along while you read)

 

“Making your way in the world today takes everything you got” - I know how tough it is for some of our members to get here and make it through a workout. It takes discipline, desire, and drive to be consistent. It takes courage for some of them to just walk through the door. With families, work, and everyday distractions, taking care of yourself is no simple task. That’s why we do our best to make it a fun and rewarding experience every time you step on the workout floor. You literally just need to show up, and let us motivate and encourage you to bring out your best.

 

“Taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot.” We want to be the best 30 minutes of your day by stimulating you both mentally and physically. When we are coaching you through your workout, I find it highly unlikely that you have the ability to worry about everyday life during this time, and that’s part of our intention.

 

I have heard some in-depth stories about what’s going on in some of our members' lives, so that drives me to make sure we put your mind at ease, while making your legs shake.

 

“Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came”- It sometimes takes a few times to remember, but we strive to remember everyone’s name. We are invested in everyone that trusts us with their health and fitness and aways glad to see you when you come in. You are important to us, and we are grateful that you are here, so we do our best to express our appreciation.

 

“You wanna be where you can see troubles all the same”- It’s not misery loves company, its just reassuring that you don’t struggle alone. Many of you come here for the same reason…. you won’t do it on your own, and struggle staying motivated, on point and disciplined. Life is full of obstacles but when you come to Providence Fit Body Boot Camp, the only obstacle in your way is to complete that 30-minute workout. We offer a vast schedule of sessions that fits almost everyone’s needs, and create workouts that are challenging yet doable.

 

Everyone struggles to make the time to work out and stay focused on their nutrition, and we understand that.

 

Therefore we strive to solve any and all fitness-related problems one may have.

 

With all the gyms, online coaching, and weight loss programs out there, folks have many choices, however when you want to belong to a community, be known by name, treated like the important person you are, and want great results, there isn’t any other choice but Providence Fit Body Boot Camp. Aka, the Cheers of gyms.
