Juniper, College Hill/Providence

Froyoworld, College Hill/Providence

Brinkley’s, Narragansett and Wakefield (good for URI students)

Brinkley’s is the favorite beach ice cream stop. The homemade ice cream, yogurt, no sugar added and sherbet are must-haves before the ice cream season ends. Narragansett location at 921 Boston Neck Rd, phone 789-1784, open Monday-Sunday 12pm-9pm. Or, Wakefield location at 322 Main St, phone 782-8864. Open 12pm-9pm on week days and 12-9:30 on weekends.

Daily Scoop, Barrington and Bristol (good for RWU students)

With two locations of this great shop nearby, college students around Barrington and Bristol can get their ice cream fix until late September. Best-selling flavors are vanilla and cookie dough, however, flavors range from the original, like bestsellers vanilla and cookie dough, to the outrageous, Kahlua fudge brownie and apple pie. Barrington location at 230 County Road, phone 401-245-0100. Bristol location at 446B Thames Street phone 401-254-2223. Both open every day noon-9pm until late September.

Beluga Froyo, Newport + Portsmouth (good for RWU, Salve and URI students)

Beluga has great deals for students. Roger Williams, Salve and URI students can use their school cards as cash at the shop. Get an extra 20% discount the first time you check into Beluga Froyo on Foursquare, and an extra 10% discount for those serving in the military.
