It's the biggest waterfront fiesta the city of Providence has ever seen. Beginning at 11am, revelers can enjoy an all-day and night boardwalk block party bouncing between Lola’s Tequila Bar & Cantina and The Whiskey Republic. During the fiesta, Lola’s famous $4 hand crafted margaritas and Corona bucket specials will be offered. The boardwalk will be lined with outdoor tents and games where the daring can embark on the Macho Nacho or Mustache Contests, with giveaways and prizes all day long. Boaters can dock for free during this celebration, and the deck is pet-friendly. Fear not - for those who need a siesta, SleepAFloat is available on the Foxpoint Marina, equipped with key coded gates, a fully staffed office, and security to assure a safe night sleep or just a place to refuel for the rest of the party.And it's running 'til 2am. Cinco de Mayo Block Party in Downcity
From 4 to 8 p.m., Westminster Street, between Eddy and Union Street, will be closed to cars and filled with performers, food and fun. Gracie’s, as well as Aspire & A-Bar Lounge and State, will be offering Mexican-inspired food and drinks likely to turn the block party into a lively fiesta. Music will be provided by Brown University’s Mariachi de Brown from 4 to 5 p.m. and DJ Studebaker Hawk from 5 to 8 p.m. Plus, food trucks!
