The International Tennis Hall of Fame is hosting kids and family events

There is plenty going on around Newport to keep you busy this Father's Day weekend. From road races to festivals and games, there is something for everyone. 

This weekend’s events include the Newport Bermuda Race, Trinity Church’s Strawberry Festival, and much more.

Premiere Of “I Dare You: A Musical Suite Dedicated To Doris Duke” at Rough Point

Composer and musician Francisco Pais has assembled musicians from around the world to debut an original contemporary jazz suite inspired by Doris. Listen to the imagined soundtrack of her life at this one-of-a-kind performance.

The show goes from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Start of Newport-Bermuda Race at New York Yacht Club 

The competition is a 635 nautical-mile ocean race first sailed in 1906 and held biennially in even-numbered years.

The race takes three to six days as it crosses a stretch of the Atlantic Ocean known for challenging weather; especially in the Gulf Stream, where there are strong currents.

The start is off Castle Hill Light.

Swiss Village Farm Annual Visitors Day 

The SVF Foundation -- the SVF stands for Swiss Village Farm -- is hosting its annual visitors day. 

Learn more about the Smithsonian & SVF Biodiversity Preservation Project. 

Activities include live cryogenics and sheep shearing demonstrations.

The event goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Norman Bird Sanctuary’s 12th Annual 5K Run Walk

Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown is set to host its 12th annual 5K Run/Walk in memory of David Leys Jr.

The walk is set to take place on Saturday, June 16. The race starts at 8:30 a.m., while the kids run begins at 8:15 a.m.

Runners will start at the Norman Bird Sanctuary Welcome Center and go past Hanging Rock, Second Beach and Sachuest Point before finishing by the Third Beach dunes.

Trinity Church’s Annual Strawberry Festival

The Festival celebrates all things strawberry, with food, live music, and quality artisans and crafters on the lawn of Trinity Church on Queen Anne Square.

The highlight of the festival is the homemade strawberry shortcake, made with freshly picked sweet strawberries and mounds of real whipped cream. 

The festival goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Father's Day Hike at Ballard Park 

Start Father’s Day with a hike through the trails of Ballard Park. Friends of Ballard Park staff will host a guided tour of the thirteen nature preserve providing information on its history, unique features and habitats like a vernal pond, woodland forest, and quarry meadow.

Trails are rugged and steep in areas.

The hike goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
