NEW: RI Health Recommends Closure of Bristol Town Beach Due to High Bacteria Levels
Friday, August 23, 2019
The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is recommending the closure of Bristol Town Beach and Dyer Woods Campground in Foster due to high bacteria levels.
According to RIDOH, they will “continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout the summer season. The status of a beach may change as new data become available.”
Bristol Town Beach is just the latest in a series of beach closures by the Rhode Island Department of Health over the last few weeks, as reported by GoLocalProv.
