Potenza Ristorante Closes
Monday, December 17, 2018
Walter Potenza announced that his Cranston restaurant Potenza Ristorante is closing.
In his Facebook post, Potenza wrote:
Potenza Ristorante closes after 35 years. It all began in the lovely town of East Greenwich Rhode Island, continuing in Providence and lastly in Cranston. It has been a delightful journey, one that allowed me to reach pinnacles in the culinary horizons and gave me a chance to meet and cook for wonderful guests who have through the years enjoyed my passion in delivering the true essence of the Italian Gastronomy. The awards and accolades received during the voyage are just a complement to an incredible career, because the greatest satisfaction has been COOKING FOR YOU, my guests who have followed me and continue to support my message. From the days of cooking for a guy named Elvis to the gentlemen named Pope Francis...and everyone else in between I proudly offered my best through the years and hopefully left a flavorful memory in your palates. We turn this page with a sense of pride and joy, and focus on the next chapter that may be even more exciting. GRAZIE WALTER POTENZA
