Workshops for Start-Up Businesses

The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation alongside Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis are looking to aid small businesses in Rhode Island by providing the tools necessary to be successful in today’s economic environment.
Four free workshops will be offered this month through “We Mean Business,” a joint venture between the Secretary of State’s First Stop Business Information Center and RIEDC. The workshops will provide access to a team of consultants at no cost.

RIEDC
The first workshop will cover how to continuously drive traffic to your website and impress customers online. The second will discuss how to reduce taxes and the 20 pitfalls of starting and running a small business. Effective product and service pricing will also be covered.
The third workshop teaches how to use social media to market your growing business. Ways to develop and implement strategic social media programs that are effective and results-oriented will be the focus.
The Branding workshop aims to explore what makes a brand strong. It will go into detail on logo design and discuss the importance of consistency in online and offline marketing.
