New office on Bellevue Avenue

Residential Properties has opened a new office in Newport at one of the nation’s most exclusive locations  — across from the Hall of Fame for the sport of kings, on Gilded Age row, and literally, next to where the Almacs used to be.

In other words, a Rhode Island trifecta.

The new office at 181 Bellevue Avenue is the latest expansion for Rhode Island’s largest real estate firm.

The company did in excess of $1.3 billion in sales in 2022 — a record in Rhode Island.

High Profile Address and Further Expansion

Sally Lapides, the CEO of Residential Properties, tells GoLocal, “The location is extraordinary and maybe the highest profile address we could wish for.”

“It is tremendous for walk-in business,” said Lapides.

The location is directly across from the International Tennis Hall of Fame -- and boasts plenty of parking.

“It is an elegant and comfortable location. We are very excited about the future in Newport,” said Lapides.

In the past year or so, Residential has opened new offices in Little Compton and Westport, MA.

The Little Compton office is located at 33 Meeting House Lane and was in conjunction with the acquisition of Shethar Real Estate.

In May, the firm formally opened its new office in Westport, MA — the rural seaside community.

Biggest Sale in Providence

Residential Properties Ltd. recently announced the sale of 66 Power Street on Providence’s East Side for $5.5 million

Architecturally and historically, the property is one of the most important homes in America. The property has been in the control of the Ives and Goddard families since its construction more than 200 years ago.

According to State-Wide MLS data, this is the highest Providence sale ever recorded.

RPL has now participated in 72 of the 77 single-family home sales of $1 million or more in Providence this year, with realtor Jim DeRenits accounting for 24 of those sales. It surpasses the previous record high --  the 2019 sale of 66 Williams Street.
