Verizon Says Outages Resolved, Issues Apology, But Doesn’t Disclose Number Impacted

At nearly 11 PM on Wednesday night, Verizon announced it had resolved its outage problems.

 

"The outage has been resolved. If customers are still having an issue, we encourage them to restart their devices to reconnect to the network. For those affected, we will provide account credits. Details will be shared directly with customers. We sincerely apologize for the disruption," said Verizon in a statement.

The company did not explain the cause of the tech issues nor identify the number of customers impacted.

 

Verizon did not respond to GoLocal's questions about the number of Rhode Islanders affected.
