URI Beats LaSalle in Opening Round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament, Face #1 VCU on Friday

The University of Rhode Island Rams simply ran over LaSalle from opening jump to the final horn. The Rams won 76-57.

The Rams were led by Cyril Langevine who had 25 points and 12 rebounds.

URI led by 10 at half-time but exploded in the second half.

URI plays #1 seed Virginia Commonwealth University at 12 noon on Friday on NBC Sports.

The Rams upset VCU in Virginia in January 71-65, but then suffered one of its most embarrassing losses in February when VCU beat the Rams 76-44 at the Ryan Center on national television.

The Rams suffered through a five-game losing streak in February, but have now won five games in a row.
