Smithfield All-Stars Beat the Pennsylvania Team 7-2 in Little League World Series

Rhode Island’s entry to the Little League World Series — the Smithfield All-Stars — won their second game in the tournament by beating the Pennsylvania team on Sunday.

Rhode Island won 7-2.

The Rhode Island team, winners of the Metro Region, are now 2-1 in the tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

 

Many members from the Philadephia Phillies were in attendance to cheer on the Pennsylvania team, representing a small town called Media.

 

Rhode Island plays next on Tuesday.
