RI Top10: High School Football Performances

This weekend saw dozens of big time performances on the gridiron in Rhode Island High School Football, but only the best of the best are chosen for the Top 10 Performances of the Week.
Each week throughout the remainder of the season, we'll be featuring the top performances by teams and players. If you'd like to suggest your own, feel free to comment below! Here’s a breakdown of the brightest stars of the weekend:

Portsmouth Running Back Matthew Sewall
Sewall ran for three touchdowns and also ran for a two-point conversion, but his team came up short as South Kingstown beat the Patriots 25-22.

Narragansett QB Kullen McGill
Likewise, McGill had three TD's of his own, passing for all of the scores as the Mariners knocked off Burrillville 26-12.

West Warwick Quarterback Kody Greenhalgh
Greenhalgh tossed three more touchdown passes than Tom Brady did this weekend, and his efforts helped his team beat Shea 28-7.

East Greenwich Running Back/Defensive Back Carney Crawford
Crawford ran for 127 yards and a score in a 15-8 victory over Lincoln. Carney also added a sack and an interception on defense for the undefeated Avengers (5-0).

Johnston Running Back Marc Conte
Three scores seemed to be the number for superlatives this week. Conte ran for a pair of touchdowns and caught another as the Panthers pounded Toll Gate 36-6.

La Salle Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Keon Wilson
Wilson accounted for 88 yards of offense and caught a pair of touchdown passes in a 22-21 win over Cranston West. Wilson also had four tackles and an interception on defense.

Cumberland Quarterback Tyler Calabro
Calabro threw for two touchdown passes and kicked a field goal as the Clippers scored 21 straight points late in the 4th quarter to beat St. Raphael 24-17.

Bishop Hendricken Running Back Remmington Blue
Blue had 130 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns Friday night in a 40-0 victory over Tolman.

Central Quarterback Leonard Brown
Brown had an outstanding all-around game for Central with156 passing yards and a pair of TD passes in a 28-8 win over Pilgrim. Brown also added two TD's on the ground.

North Providence Running Back Bevin Ingram
Ingram had the big stat-stuffing day among Rhode Island players for the week, rushing for 285 yards and scoring four touchdowns as North Providence romped past North Smithfield 46-20.
