RI Native Billy Andrade Earns First Individual Victory on Champions Tour

Rhode Island native Billy Andrade won the Boeing Classicon Sunday at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge in Washington. Andrade shot a one over par 73 in the final round, finishing 9-under overall.

The win is Andrade's first individual victory on the Champions Tour and his second Champions Tour victory overall. 

Andrade shot 69 and 65 in the first two rounds to take a three shot lead into Sunday's final round.

In the final round, Andrade triple bogeyed the fourth hole  and bogeyed the seventh to fall back into a tie for the lead. But Andrade bounced back with birdies on eight and 12  to regain his three shot lead and held on to win by one. 

Bernhard Langer finished second while Fred Couples, Mark O'Meara, Guy Boros and Fran Quinn finished in a tie for third. 

Andrade won the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf Tournament with partner Joe Durant back in April. 

Billy Andrade won four times on the PGA Tour before jumping to the Champions Tour. 

CVS Charity Classic Co-Host

Billy Andrade is the co-host of the CVS Charity Classic which completed it's 17th tournament  in June at Rhode Island Country Club. 

The tournament has raised $18 million since it's inception in 1999. 

The 2015 tournament was won by Keegan Bradley and Jon Curran.
