Diallo led PC again

Oh, what could have been. The Friars had a chance to make a big jump in the Big East standings by grabbing a road win against Seton Hall and most of the game it looked like they would.

But, Myles Powell, Seton Hall’s star, scored 31-points and broke PC’s heart -- and the Pirates four-game losing streak.

The Friars lost in Newark 65-63.

Game Snapshot

Alpha Diallo led the Friars with 21-points, but got little help from the rest of the team. Isaiah Jackson finished with nine points and David Duke scored eight for the Friars.

The team's shooting woes continued — the Friars shot 38 percent from the field.

Seton Hall is now 13-8 and 4-5 Big East. And, PC’s record falls to 13-7 and now just 3-5 in the Big East.

Most painful is the Friars led with 4:22 to go in the game after a Diallo 3-pointer.

The Friars had a chance on a Jackson shot in the final seconds, but it was blocked by the Hall's Romaro Gill.

Must Win Time:

The Friars go to DePaul Saturday and then host Georgetown next Wednesday. These are starting to look like must-win games.
