Smithfield Beats Nevada in First Game of World Series — Curtis Strikes Out 15

Smithfield won their first game in Williamsport (pictured) on Wednesday.
The Smithfield Little League All-Stars won their first Little League World Series game in Williamsport on Wednesday afternoon.

Rhode Island topped Nevada 3-1.

Smithfield’s Connor Curtis struck out 15, before he reached the maximum pitch count (85) in the 6th inning.

Nevada left tying runners on first and third and struck out to end the game at the top of the sixth. 

Smithfield will now play Tennessee at 3 PM on Friday.
