According to ESPN's RISE, the top Rhode Island hoopster of all the boys is the St. Andrews Star, Michael Carter-Williams.
So says ESPN, Carter-Williams will repeat at the Gatorade Rhode Island Boys Basketball Player of the Year. The St. Andrews Star who goes 6-foot-5, 175-pound. The shooting guard is averaging 20.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game for the Saints (11-4) through 15 games.
"Carter-Williams, who is ranked No. 32 in the ESPNU Top 100, has already earned MVP honors this winter at the National Prep Showcase in Connecticut and the Cancer Research Classic in West Virginia. He has maintained a B average in the classroom and has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Syracuse University this fall on a basketball scholarship," says ESPN's RISE.
