Former Hendricken Star Could Be Celtics Next Interim Coach
Thursday, September 22, 2022
Former Bishop Hendricken Hawks star Joe Mazzulla might just be the Boston Celtics’ new interim coach.
As Celtics Head Coach Ime Udoka faces a likely season-long suspension for violating team policy for having a consensual relationship with a female Celtics staffer, assistant coach Mazzulla — a Johnston, Rhode Island native — could be named to head the team for the duration, according to reports.
The 34-year old Mazzulla has been with the Celtics since 2019.

Mazzulla first served as an assistant coach under Brad Stevens with the Celtics.
His father played at Bryant University and in South America following college.
