Bryant Football Falls to Robert Morris 24-20

"I thought our defense played winning football. Right now it's coming down to 4 or 5 plays and we need to figure out a way to start making those plays. We just have to find a way to get it done,” said Bryant head coach Chris Merritt after the game.
The loss drops Bryant to 1-3 in the Northeast Conference and 2-7 on the season, while Robert Morris improves to 4-4 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

After holding an early 13-0 lead, Bryant trailed Robert Morris 17-13 at the start of the fourth quarter.
In the opening minutes of the quarter, Bryant’s Harrison Easton found the back of the end zone on a five-yard run to give the Bulldogs a 20-17 lead following a Luke Samperi extra point.
However, Robert Morris would answer back.
Colonial quarterback George Martin connected with receiver Garrett Houser on a 72-yard touchdown pass to give Robert Morris a 24-20 lead following an extra point.
On Bryant’s ensuing possession, the Bulldogs converted two fourth downs to keep the drive alive.
However, the drive would end as Bryant was stopped on a fourth and two at the Robert Morris 37-yard-line.
After a Robert Morris punt, Bryant would get the ball back with 47 seconds left in the game and no timeouts.
Bryant quarterback Kory Curtis drove the Bulldogs to the Robert Morris 46-yard-line before a series of hail mary passes fell short as time expired.
Curtis completed 24-of-42 passes for 180 yards in a touchdown.

Bryant returns to action on Saturday, November 2 when they host Sacred Heart.
It is the Bulldogs second to last home game of the year.
Game time is set for 1 p.m.
