NEW: Gas Prices up 4 Cents Again

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up four cents this week, the eighth consecutive week of increases, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s February 20 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.68 per gallon, four cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 18 cents over the last month.

The current price is 12 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.56. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.21.
