NEW: Block Praises Passage of Master Lever Bill by Senate Judiciary
Friday, June 13, 2014
GOP candidate for Governor Ken Block has praised the Senate Judiciary Committee for voting 10-1 to pass this year’s version of the master lever bill out of committee.
“I am grateful to the Senate leadership and Chairman McCaffrey for conducting this vote and hopefully shepherding it to success on the Senate floor,” said Block. “Many people have worked tirelessly on this issue over the years and I think this is an important reminder that you don’t have to be an insider to get things done.”
“I've talked a great deal about the power of the bully pulpit and that when you have a good idea and the support of a wide range of people, you can get things done," said Block. "It may not always be easy, but tonight we see that the results are worth the effort.”
