LIVE ELECTION UPDATE Roberts Fends Off Challenge from Healey 11:15 PM
Wednesday, November 03, 2010
Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts successfully fended off a challenge from independent Bob Healey, who came as close as he ever has in his quest to winning the office in order to abolish it. Roberts easily won with 54.9 percent of the vote to Healey’s 38.7 percent. A second independent candidate Bob Venturini garnered 6.4 percent of the vote.
The results come after recent polls showed the race tightening—in one poll Healey even was roughly within the margin of error of Roberts.
