video: Former RI Democratic Lt. Governor Blasts U.S. Congress Sit-In for Gun Control

Former RI Democratic Lt. Governor Thomas DiLuglio blasted those members of Congress that held a sit-in on the House Floor this past week. DiLuglio’s comments came during the taping of ABC6’s “In the Arena" which appeared on Sunday.
The comments, which can be viewed starting at the 5:20 mark of the show, were critical of the tactics by Congressman David Cicilline and others for conducting a sit-in and blocking Congressional action.
“What happened in my opinion was boyish and childish and it was demeaning of the people that did what they did by sitting on the flop and eating stuff,” said DiLuglio. “That is a hallowed chamber…it is a historic place. You to have some respect. It is demeaning for this Congress.”
