WWII Navy Vet & Ret. Aircraft Examiner for Quonset, John D. Votta, Passes at 99

John D. Votta, 99, a lifelong resident of Warwick and retired aircraft examiner for Quonset Point passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was the husband of the late Genevieve (Gugliotti) Votta.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Antonetta (Viccione) Votta. Beloved father of Donna M. Regine (Late Ralph), Gail M. Schoeler (William), Alan W. Votta, and the late John Votta. Loving grandfather of Ralph Jr., Todd, and Suzanne. Loving great-grandfather of Casey, Todd Jr., Nataley, and Felicity. Brother of Rose I. Colella, Babara A. Nassi and the late Louis G. Votta and Edward T. Votta.

Mr. Votta was a World War II Navy Veteran and a former president of the Rolling Rhodies Antique Car Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Dr, Cranston, RI 02920.

Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours: Friday, March 26, 2021, 4 pm-7 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.

Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
