WWII Army Veteran, Andre L. Barras, of N. Smithfield, Passes at 95

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Pierre and Aline (Langlais) Barras. He lived in California for most of his life.
Andre was a WWII Army veteran in the 89th Infantry Division. He worked for True Value in California. He enjoyed traveling.
He leaves many nephews and nieces, including Pierre Guillet and Jeanne Merlet, both of Woonsocket. He was predeceased by seven brothers, Leopold, Adrien, Robert, Oscar, Lucien, Pierre, and Victor Barras; and three sisters, Rita Guillet, Olivette Dubois, and Lucille Auclair.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket.
Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
