Obituary: Irene Pickles, Passes at 95

Irene Pickles, 95, of Pine Drive, Smithfield, died Friday, March 1, 2019, in the Hebert Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Pickles. 

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late John E. and Ada (Cousins) Mills. She had lived in Smithfield since 1969 previously living in Cranston. She had been a member of the North Providence Senior Center dance team and a member of the DaVinci Center dance group. 

She leaves her children, Barbara A. Brown-Harden and her husband James of Charlestown, Carol L. Allen of Warwick, Richard W. Pickles and his wife Shelly of Burrillville, Ruth G. Dupuis of West Warwick, Betty A. Ross of Glocester and David E Pickles and his wife Linda of South Carolina. She was the grandmother of Mark and Jeffrey Brown, Brendan and Kerrin Allen, Jason and Corey Pickles, Christine and Jaimie Dupuis, Ryan and Rachel Ross and the great-grandmother of Alexander Brown. 

She was the sister of the late Eunice Sherman, Elsie Swiszcz, Dorothy Grandidy, Jean Clark and Joan Pesapane. 

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Park, Johnston. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm.
