Mary "Betty" E. Conway, Formerly of Cumberland, Dies at 84

Mary E. Conway “Betty”, 84, formerly of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Conway.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Mary (Whittaker) Cote. 

Betty lived most of her life in Cumberland before moving to New Hampshire in 2013. Betty was a woman of the Catholic Church and took solace in her faith.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Mastin and her husband Joe, and Michaela Sazama and her husband Damian. She also leaves her sister, Paula Cote, her grandchildren, Delaney, Brayden, Ainsley Mastin, Jackson, and Evan Sazama, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sean Conway, and sister of the late Robert and Ralph Cote.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 24th at 10 am in St Joseph’s Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. 

Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-5 pm in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
