Marine Corps Veteran, CPA & Owner of Beauvais and Co., Richard A. Beauvais, Dies

Richard A. Beauvais, 74, of North Smithfield, died September 4, 2021, in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.

Devoted husband and father, he was married to Patricia (Jones) Beauvais for over 49 years and is also survived by two daughters, Kerry Pepin and her husband, Brian, of Cumberland, and Julie Beauvais of North Smithfield.  Born in Worcester, MA, he is survived by a brother, Joseph Beauvais of Spencer, MA; a sister, Susan Barthelmes of Holden, MA, and several nieces and nephews. Richard was the brother of the late Theodore and James Beauvais; and son of the late Joseph and Martha (Duvaney) Beauvais.

Mr. Beauvais was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. A local Certified Public Accountant and business owner of Beauvais and Co., North Smithfield. He was a longtime parishioner and communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket, where he served as Eucharistic Minister, lector, and member of the finance committee. As a kind and generous community member, he has served on many Board of Directors, including the VNA of Rhode Island, St. Antoine Residence, and Mt. St. Charles Academy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 10, 2021, at 10 am in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket.

Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4 - 7 pm in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Saint Charles Academy, 800 Logee Street, Woonsocket, RI  02895.
