Loretta (Alviti) Cannata of Cranston dies at 96

Loretta (Alviti) Cannata, 96, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 31, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late Natale “Nat” Cannata.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Aleta (Simonetti) Alviti. 

Loretta worked as an inspector for Cranston Printworks for many years.

She is survived by her loving sons, David Cannata of Cranston and Robert Cannata and his wife Linda of Cranston; cherished grandchildren David Cannata Jr., Eric Cannata, Tressa Cannata, Robert Cannata Jr., Joseph Cannata, Talia Cannata; dear sisters Rose Mozzetta and Marsha Franchetti.  She was the sister of the late Joseph Alviti, Vincent Alviti, Mary Caprio, and Anna Silvestri.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 6th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. 

The burial will be private.  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday, April 5th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
