Long-Time DCYF Staffer Kim J. Sande of Cumberland Dies at 52

Kim J. Sande, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at home.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of James DeWire and Lucille (Tessier) DeWire of Cumberland. Kim resided in North Smithfield for 18 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Kim was an avid gardener, she loved cooking and playing games with her children and family. She enjoyed traveling with her children to visit her parents in Florida, and to the theme parks in Florida.
She was employed as a Federal Grants Manager, by the State of Rhode Island, Department of Children, Youth and Families for the past 28 years.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her two children: Hunter Sande and Grace Sande both of North Smithfield. Her sister Tracy Smith and her husband David and their children Danielle and Allison all of Cumberland, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves her aunt Jeannette St. Germain of Cumberland.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Kim's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 4 PM to 7 PM. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland.
