Lisa Marie Belanger, of North Kingstown, Dies at 54

Lisa Marie Belanger, age 54, died in her home in North Kingstown, Rhode Island on January 31, 2022. Ms. Belanger was an avid animal and nature lover.

Lisa moved to the Boston area in 1996 and began working with Boston Harbor Cruises. Eventually working up to captain. After moving to Rhode Island, Lisa continued working on the water operating water taxis. Later, she assumed a position in the parts department of various marinas, most recently with Safe Harbor.

She is survived by her partner, William Lyons, and her beloved pets, Stewie and Eli. She is also survived by her father, Gene Belanger of Milliken, Colorado, brothers Davis Belanger of Greentown, PA, Douglas Belanger of Henryville, PA, Gene Belanger of Sciota, PA, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Belanger, and an infant brother, Steven.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at a later date in Rhode Island.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the North Kingstown Exeter Animal Protection League.
