Korean War Veteran Warren Charles Lutzel of Charlestown Dies at 92

Warren Charles Lutzel, 92, of Charlestown passed away Wednesday, March 16th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Warren was the son of Maxamillion and Dorothy (Reuss) Lutzel. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Giurdano) Lutzel for 69 years.

Warren’s life was full of many accomplishments. From serving in the Korean War, to working as a private investigator. He also spent many years alongside his wife manufacturing jewelry. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Besides his wife Barbara, he is survived by three sons; Richard, Ronald and Peter, grandchildren; Jack and Sam Lutzel, Justine (Lutzel) Caldwell and husband David, Nicholas Lutzel and wife Kristen, as well as four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 21st at 11 am in St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Rd, Charlestown. Burial to follow at Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter.
