Kerrie Nancy Moreau Dies at 39

On June 22, 2026, our family lost someone who made life a little louder, brighter, and more colorful. Kerrie Nancy Moreau passed away at the age of 39, just shy of her 40th birthday, leaving behind countless memories that will continue to make us laugh, smile, and think of her often.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on August 1, 1986, Kerrie was raised in Cumberland, where she graduated from Cumberland High School with the Class of 2004. She later earned her Medical Assistant degree from Lincoln Technical Institute.
Kerrie was the beloved daughter of Paul and Cynthia (Stephens) Moreau, sister to Katie and her husband Marvin, and the proud big sister of Michael—her forever "Brudah." She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Edelman, a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, coworkers, and many others whose lives were made better simply by knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jeanne and Robert Moreau, Leo Kelley, and Jean Turner Stephens, as well as her auntie, Jo-Ann Stephens Paul.
Kerrie believed in second chances, she chose to dedicate her career to helping others do the same. As a Recovery Treatment Worker with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, she met people where they were, offering compassion, understanding, and hope. She knew recovery wasn't easy, and she spent her days reminding others that it was possible.
If there was music playing, there was a good chance Kerrie was singing along. Karaoke wasn't just a pastime—it was one of her favorite ways to have fun and make memories. She loved days spent at the beach, could happily spend hours shopping for the perfect find or decorating a room until it felt just right, and rarely missed the chance to take a picture. Those photos often found their way into thoughtful gifts, preserving moments she never wanted the people she loved to forget. And when it came to the New England Patriots, there was never any question where her loyalty belonged.
Kerrie lived with heart. She celebrated life's little moments, cared deeply for others, and found joy in sharing the things she loved. Her resilience, sense of humor, generosity, and ability to connect with people will remain part of the stories told by everyone fortunate enough to know her.

While we wish we had more time with Kerrie, we are grateful for the memories she gave us—the songs she sang, the laughter she shared, the pictures she captured, and the hope she inspired in others.
So the next time your favorite song comes on, you're walking along the beach, cheering on the Patriots, or smiling at an old photograph, think of Kerrie. And if you believe, perhaps somewhere she's found her best friend, Suzy, microphone in hand, the two of them singing karaoke together once again.
She will be missed beyond words and remembered with love, laughter, and gratitude every day. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 Woodland St., Lincoln, RI 02865, at 9:00am. All friends and family are welcome to attend as we celebrate Kerrie's life.
