Kenneth F. Uttley of Cranston Dies at 93

Kenneth F. Uttley, age 93 of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Vera E. (Volpe) Uttley; and son of the late Frederick Uttley & Adleade (Robson) Uttley.

 

Ken dedicated many years to his career as a sheet metal contractor before retiring. Ken excelled in hockey, baseball, and swimming. He was an avid golfer and bowler, continuing to bowl until the remarkable age of 92. He was a coach in CLCF Hockey and Little League Baseball in Cranston. Ken enjoyed boating and cherished summers at Bonnet Shores. A member of the Free Masons, he was always ready to lend a helping hand.

 

He was the devoted father of Frederick K. Uttley and his wife, Jean of Jamestown; cherished grandfather of Laura Uttley and Brett Uttley; and brother of the late Donald Uttley. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

 

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 8:30 am to 10 am in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown. His funeral service will take place at 11 am in Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown. A graveside service will follow in St. Mark Cemetery, Jamestown.
