Irene (Mottas) Cooley, 72, of Riverside, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at RI Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Jeffrey Cooley and the late Manuel Arruda.

Born November 26, 1948 in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Olympia (Cabral) Mottas.

She leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Manuel and Lori Arruda of West Warwick and her granddaughter, Skylar. She was also the sister of Carol Cipolla-Rupert of Coventry, Antone “Tony” Mottas of Lake Wales, FL, and the late Arthur Mottas Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Wednesday, October 27 from 4 pm until 7 pm in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a service at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907.
