Air Force Veteran, Christopher C. Currie, Passes at 78

Christopher was the graduating class president of Roger Ludlow High School, Fairfield, CT in 1961. Christopher graduated from the US Air Force Academy in Colorado in 1965, and later Georgia Tech, earning a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He served his country as a full-time member of the US Air Force for more than 20 years, retiring at the rank of Major. He was the recipient of many meritorious service medals for distinguished excellence in his field during those years. Following retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a Comptroller for Arkwright Insurance Company. Upon retirement, his main focus became the World Federalist Movement, where for many years he was the acting president of the New England Chapter. In a self-proclaimed mission to "Save the World," Chris tirelessly composed hundreds of missives exposing lies and wrongdoings of USA leaders, delivering them to the appropriate leaders that he felt to be in a position to call attention and take the right action. "MOVE ON" occupied his attention for his own action, coordinator for RI.
His LOVE for all people was profound. His life was founded on "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF," as he both lived and proselytized this principle throughout.

His 22-year-old cat Reilly was his inseparable companion throughout the years, especially during COVID 19 pandemic isolation years. Not surprisingly, he followed Chris within two days.
He is survived by his former wife Kanjana (Kay) Currie, and their son, Greggory Currie; Greg's former wife Aubrey, with their four children: Chessa, Aura, Nova, and Jett Currie of Richland, WA; a sister, Linda Currie DeHart and her husband Arthur Stowe of Cambridge, MA; a brother, Scott Currie of Auburn, ME; nephews Davin and Matthew Currie, and close family friend Penny Kerns. He was predeceased by his beloved companion Sandy Orzechowicz.
Chris will be remembered as a fun-loving generous soul with high integrity in everything he did, enriching the lives of those he touched along the way.
His funeral arrangements are private at the request of the family.
A celebration of Chris's life will be held in the fall.
May Love arise in Everyone, so that in our dying we become LOVE which never dies.
