Warwick Police Arrest Man Following Stabbing of 60-Year-Old Woman in Oakland Beach Neighborhood

Warwick Police have arrested a man following a stabbing in the city on Friday.
About Incident
At approximately 8:30 am on Friday, members of the Warwick Police Department responded to an address on Mohawk Avenue in the Oakland Beach neighborhood for the report of a stabbing.

The female victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries which aren’t considered life-threatening.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
Derek A Daluz, age 26, of Mohawk Avenue, was charged with one count of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling house and held for arraignment.
According to police, Daluz and the victim are housemates.
