Two Women “Jumped” in Bathroom at Providence Place Mall, By 6 Females

Two women told police that they were attacked by a group of six women on Sunday in the ladies' bathroom on the third floor of the Providence Place Mall near the food court.

 

The incident took place about 5:30 PM

According to the alleged victims,  one was punched in the head. Then a number of the women began hitting the victim.

 

Police took down the description of the six females.

 

The alleged victims filed witness statements but refused medical treatment.

 

Providence Police are investigating.

 

Providence Place Sale

The incident comes just days after the Superior Court Judge Brian Stern approved the sale of the Providence Place Mall to a group led by Paolino Properties and Pyramid.

 

The mall has been operated by a receiver for more than a year.

 

The final sale of the property is not expected until September.
