Attorneys for the Foxy Lady argue for reopening the Foxy Lady

The Rhode Island Supreme Court on Friday denied the Foxy Lady's appeal for its adult entertainment license, after the Providence Board of Licenses revoked all licenses for the establishment on Wednesday. 

The appeal to the Rhode Island Supreme Court for the adult entertainment license was heard by Justice Frank Flaherty, who turned down the request by the owners of the Foxy Lady adult entertainment club for an emergency stay that would overrule the order of the Providence Board of Licenses closing the club. 

The Department of Business Regulation took the Foxy Lady's appeals for their liquor and retail licenses on Friday afternoon, but did not render a decision in time for the club to open this weekend. See video of the full hearing below.

The Providence Board of License voted on Wednesday to revoke all licenses for the Foxy Lady - and close the establishment. 

The Providence strip club has been closed since the arrest of three female employees on prostitution charges last week; the women are expected in court Thursday.
