RI Ranks 47th for Patriotism, Is the Ranking Un-American?

How did they come up with this study? Do they not know Rhode Island is one of the 13 original colonies? So what if we were the last of the 13 to sign the Constitution, are we still getting punished in rankings more than 225 years later? Well, according to WalletHub, we are near the very bottom for Patriotism.
"Expressions of American pride come in many forms — some as simple as Fourth of July fireworks, others as courageous as the sacrifice made by the men and women in our armed forces. The list goes on and on, from exercising one’s right to vote, buying American-made goods (especially apple pie) and even paying taxes," write WalletHub.
Accordlinly, there study shows 38% of Americans said the U.S. was the best country in the world in 2011, that number fell to 28% in 2014.

Virginia, Alaska and South Carolina rank first, second and third respectively. The bottom states are New Jersey (50), Connecticut (49), New York (48), and RI (47). Do they not know about the Bristol 4th of July Parade?
