RI DEM Reminds Users of Alternate Parking Areas During Blackstone River Bikeway Closure

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) is advising Blackstone River Bikeway users that with the temporary closure of the School Street parking lot, several alternate parking areas are available near the bikeway.
This comes after the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) closed the bikeway parking lot on School Street in conjunction with a rehabilitation project on the Albion Bridge.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-August.

Several alternative parking areas are available, including:
- Blackstone River State Park, Front Street, Lincoln
- Former Lonsdale Drive-In Parking, John Street, Lincoln
- I-295 Visitor Center parking, Lincoln
- Capt. Wilbur Kelly House, Lower River Road, Lincoln
- River's Edge Park at Davison Avenue, Woonsocket
- River Road, Manville, Lincoln
- Route 116 parking area (George Washington Highway), Lincoln
- Front Street, Cumberland
