Rhode Island State Police Hit By Coronavirus - 10 Infections and 10 Quarantined

There are few businesses, schools or state agencies not be impacted by the coronavirus. Lt. Colonel Kevin Barry confirms that the Rhode Island State Police now have ten troopers infected with the virus and another ten are in quarantine.

The State Police has a staff of 240.

Providence Police have been hit hard with more than 60 cases since March.

Earlier on Tuesday, GoLocal reported that Governor Gina Raimondo’s office has been hit by the virus.

"Three employees who work in the Governor's Office of Constituent Services recently tested positive for COVID-19," said spokesperson Audrey Lucas. 

"Four employees in the Governor’s Office are under quarantine, per the Department of Health’s orders," she added. 

According to Lucas, the office has subsequently been deep cleaned.
