UPDATED: Missing Providence 12-Year-Old Found Safe

Providence Police announced at 8 pm on Monday that the missing 12-year-old Daniel Walanga has been found.

According to police, Walanga was last seen on December 29, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM in the area of 26 Klondike Street.

Physical Description: 

Height: 5 feet 
Weight: Approximately 110–120 pounds 
Hair: Short, dark hair 
Clothing: Unknown at this time 

Daniel has no known physical or mental health issues and does not possess a cell phone, say police. He is known to leave for extended periods of time and return home late at night. 

Police say Daniel is known to frequent the following locations: 

CVS on Broad Street 
Manton Avenue area 
128 Delaine Street 
Wendy’s / Stop & Shop Plaza on Manton Avenue 
Kennedy Plaza
