Police Arrest Suspect in Providence Double Homicide

Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of two people in Providence over the weekend.
According to Providence Police Major David Lapatin, Jose Diaz Marmolejos, 33, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder.

According to Providence Police, a male -- and a female -- were found in a vehicle on the railroad tracks.
Lapatin said the cause of death was gunshot wounds.
"Police received a call about two bodies in a car at that location," said Lapatin.
"We have someone of interest in custody," said Lapatin of the double homicide investigation.
Police are not identifying the suspect -- or the victims -- at this time.
